She is informing her community that the chronic shortage of police officers for this large American city is forcing the city to proactively change the way they staff their law enforcement agency functions and how they recruit.
We've said it before on this blog and at TSG Defense that we cannot count on law-enforcement to help us during a crisis. This affects how we approach our own self-defense and our personal protection efforts.
Although acknowledging that there are shortages for workers in many industries, the long-term trend is that police agencies will continue to have difficulty recruiting and retaining qualified officers.
